Youth Resources

By providing a safe and empowering environment, youth resources help young individuals build confidence, develop skills, and navigate challenges, fostering their growth into engaged and successful members of society.

If you’re having problems with services or you’re having trouble getting services, or you’re looking for information that’s hard to find and you need help or advice, you can contact any of the following resources:

  • 24-Hour Crisis Line: 604-951-8855

  • Alcohol & Drug Information and Referral: 604-660-9382

    • Prevention, education, treatment, referrals, counselling (24-hour line)

  • Worker office of the Ombudsman 1-800-567-3247

  • Office of the Representative for children and youth: 1-800-476-3933 or Lower Mainland Office: 604-775-3213

  • Federation of BC Youth in Care Networks: 604-527-779

    • Talk with people who are connecting youth in care all over the province and have been in care themselves

  • Helpline for Children: 604-310-1234

  • BC Mental Health 24/7 Support Line: 310-6789 (no area code required)

  • Ministry of Children and Family Development Centralized Services for BC: 1-800-663-9122    

  • Ombudsman: 1-800-567-3247

    • Call them if a decision made for you seems unfair, doesn’t make sense to you or is against the rules

    • You need services but can’t get them
